ACS Provides Resource to Assess Safety of Chemical Demonstrations and Videos

The National Science Teaching Association (NSTA) advises that an important obligation of science teachers is to provide appropriate modeling of science safety. Media posted for public viewing is no exception. The purpose of this Safety Rubric for Assessing Chemical Demonstration Videos is to provide a template for educators to review the safety and pedagogy of chemical demonstration videos in order to determine whether they should be used in the classroom.
